First Annual COTE Volunteer Service Day & Picnic:

Errol Heights Wetland Restoration

hosted by:

Hands on Greater Portland & Portland Parks and Recreation

Please join fellow COTE members as we get our hands dirty at our kick-off Outreach Event: the first annual volunteer service day and picnic. It’s time to team-build, get our name out into the greater community, help the environment and, of course, have fun.

As a part of Celebrating Oregon’s 150th Birthday, Hands on Greater Portland is hosting “Take Care of Oregon Day.” We will meet up at Errol Heights Wetland Project to help remove invasive species and plant shrubs in the scenic 14 acre wetland that includes 3 ponds and a creek. The project requires no previous knowledge or experience and is also great for families with kids 12 and older. All you need to bring is a water bottle and dress for typical Portland weather.

Around noon we will head over for potluck picnic in Woodstock Park (SE 47th & Steele). Please join us, even if you are unable to volunteer in the morning. Bring friends and family. Rain location: Laughing Planet.

Please RSVP via Eventbrite by May 8. There are a limited number of spaces so sign up soon!
